Ash Grove Masonic Lodge #100 awarded a total of $4,500 to area schools on Friday, May 15, dishing out big checks to both Everton and Walnut Grove school districts.
The lodge dished out $3,000 to Walnut Grove R-V and $1,500 to Everton R-III in order to help eliminate outstanding student lunch debt. According to a lease distributed by the lodge, the money will go directly to unpaid lunch balances, allowing the school to move money toward other programs, services, and classroom needs.
“At Ash Grove Masonic Lodge #100, we believe that investing in our local students is one of the most impactful ways to strengthen our community,” said Dale Lovelace, Master of Ash Grove Masonic Lodge #100. “We are proud to stand beside Walnut Grove and Everton schools and help ensure that no child’s access to a nutritious meal becomes a financial burden on their family or their district.”
The donation was made possible thanks to a partnership with the Masonic Home of Missouri, which helps lodges across Missouri to provide charitable aid.
