Ash Grove School District announces board of ed. vacancy

The Ash Grove R-IV School District Board of Education has announced a vacancy on the board. In accordance with board policy, the remaining members of the board will appoint a qualified individual to serve until the next regular school board election, at which time a director will be elected to complete the remainder of the unexpired term.
Residents of the Ash Grove R-IV School District who are interested in serving on the board of education are invited to apply for the vacant position. Applicants must meet all legal qualifications to serve as a school board member in the state of Missouri.
Interested individuals should submit the completed application form by noon Friday, Oct. 10. Application instructions and materials are available on the district website or by visiting https://forms.gle/qKgctsFbWXm61BZW6.
All submitted applications will be reviewed and scored by the board of education at a regularly scheduled or specially called public meeting. The appointment will be made by formal motion at a special meeting at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 15.
The selected appointee will be sworn in at the regularly scheduled monthly business meeting at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 22. The appointed member will be required to file a personal financial disclosure statement and complete state-mandated training for new board members.
