Barbara June (Renshaw) Willoughby

Barbara June (Renshaw) Willoughby passed away Tuesday, Feb. 8, 2022 at Ash Grove Health Care Facility. She was the daughter of Winfred (Wimp) and Lillian (Brooks) Renshaw. She was born near Pearl, on Sept. 20, 1934.

Willoughby married her high school sweetheart on Dec. 12, 1952. In 1955, she went to be with Bill while he was in the service in Maryland. In 1956 they bought a farm between Willard and Walnut Grove. They worked, ate, slept, prayed and read the Bible together. They enjoyed 65 years together before Alzheimer’s disease separated them in 2018, and then Bill’s passing in April of 2019.
They faithfully attended Rosehill Baptist Church, Kingsway Freewill Baptist, Northside Assembly of God and Sac River Cowboy Church.

Willoughby is survived by her daughter, Brenda Decker and husband Danny of Walnut Grove; two granddaughters; six great-grandchildren; and other family.

Willoughby was preceded in death by her husband, parents, and sister, Irma (Renshaw) Edmonson.

Visitation was from 6-8 p.m, Friday, Feb. 11, 2022, at Wilson-Griffin Funeral Home, Walnut Grove. Funeral services were at 10 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 12, 2022, at Wilson-Griffin Funeral Home, Walnut Grove, with burial following at Greene Lawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made to Missouri Baptist Children’s Home and may be left at the funeral home.
