CHARLENE BURKY

Charlene Burky, 90, of Billings passed away peacefully at her home, on Feb. 1, 2023. She was born Oct. 30, 1932 in Billings, to Amos and Glenn (Ward) Oetker, one of three girls in the home.
She graduated from Billings High School with the class of 1950. She went on to obtain her LPN degree and worked at the Mt. Vernon Chest Hospital and Aurora Community Hospital for many years.
On Nov. 22, 1950 she married Joe Richard Burky, and they had five children; Pat, Sandy, Don, Margie and Jennie.
Burky is preceded in death by husband Joe, her parents, sisters Willie Dale and Susie Burky, and a granddaughter.
Burky is survived by her children, Pat Childress, Sandy Manning, Don (Lisa) Burky, Margie (Carl) Shaffer and Jennifer (Larry) Fleetwood, five grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren and other extended family and countless friends.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, Feb. 10, 2023 at 1 p.m. at Rose Hill Cemetery in Billings with Pastor Bruce Baker officiating.
