Charles Edward Garrison

Charles Edward Garrison, 87, of Walnut Grove, passed away Friday, Nov. 20, 2020. He was born on Dec. 3, 1932 in Mt. Vernon, Ill. to Walter P. and Letha (Clark) Garrison.
On July 23, 1951, Garrison was united in marriage to Gwendolyn Dotson and they shared over 65 years of love and laughter together before Gwen’s passing in 2016.
Garrison was a faithful member of Oak Grove/Flint Hill Community Church. He was an elder and a faithful and dedicated servant of the Lord.
Garrison is survived by one daughter, Sylvia Love of Springfield; one son Chuck Garrison and wife Lupe of N.M.; three grandchildren, and numerous family and friends.
Garrison was preceded in death by his wife, Gwen; one son, Larry Garrison; one brother and five sisters.
Graveside services will be at 1 p.m., Saturday, June 26, 2021 at Oak Grove Cemetery, Walnut Grove.
