Clyde Mike Baty

Clyde Mike Baty, 64, of Republic, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Oct. 5, 2022. He was born Sept. 14, 1958, in Springfield, to Clyde and Marcella (Keltner) Baty. He was the oldest of three children in the home.
He graduated from Republic High School with the class of 1976. On Nov. 11, 1978, he married Debbie Grider and they had two children, Melissa and Jason.
Baty began his career as a forklift driver with Associated Grocers in 1977 and remained there until his retirement in 2020, after 43 years of dedicated service. He was also a huge sports fan.
Baty is preceded in death by his parents and his daughter, Melissa Turner.
Left to mourn his passing is his loving wife of 44 years, Debbie, son Jason Baty and wife Jenni, four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; sister Susie Adams and husband Gregg; brother Andy Baty and wife Jill, as well as other extended family and friends.
A memorial visitation is scheduled for 5-7 p.m. Thursday Oct. 20, at Meadors Funeral Home. Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Friday Oct. 21, in Evergreen Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Meadors Funeral Home to help the family with funeral expenses.
