Ednalee Ellen Mitchell

Ednalee Ellen Mitchell, 79, of Springfield, passed away at her home Aug. 16, 2020. She was born Aug. 3, 1941 to John and Opal (Rubison) Breakbill in Republic. Mitchell was the only girl in a family of four children. Mitchell was blessed with two children, Billy and Rhonda. She worked for St. John’s in the housekeeping department from 1991 until her retirement in 2012. She was a big fan of the country music shows in Branson.
Mitchell is preceded in death by her parents; John and Opal, and her three brothers; Harold, Junior and LeRoy. Left to mourn her passing are her loving children; Billy Coker and Rhonda Underwood, six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, and countless friends.
A graveside service was scheduled for 1 p.m. Monday, Aug. 24, 2020 at Wade Chapel Cemetery, Republic. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Jude’s Children Research Hospital (501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105).
