Frances Maxine (Ott) Thomas

Frances Maxine (Ott) Thomas, 89, was born on Nov. 26, 1936 in Lockwood. She was the daughter of Lizzie (Moenning) Ott and William T. Ott. She lived in Lockwood, Jasper, Arcola, Greenfield, and St. Charles. She married Harold Lee Thomas Sr. on Sept. 6, 1953, and together they shared 43 wonderful years of marriage. She passed away on Sept. 16, 2026 in St. Charles.
 
She worked for JCPenney, Paramount Cap Factory, and H&R Block. She was also the owner and hairstylist of Stylette Beauty Shop and later owned and operated HT Realty and Tax Service.
 
She was involved in many organizations that included Grand Cross of Color of the Rainbow for Girls, Cherchez La Femme of the Boy Scouts of America, the Order of the Eastern Star, and the Social Order of the Beauceant.
 
She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Lee Thomas Sr.; her son, Harold Thomas Jr.; her brother, Robert Ott; and her sister, Henrietta (Ott) Lowrance.
 
She is survived by her daughters, Bobbie Grass and Ann Atchison; several grandchildren; five great-grandchildren.
 
Graveside services was held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 19, at Fellowship Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the Masonic Home of Missouri. Services are under the care of Greenfield Funeral Chapel.
