Frey Finishes Career at State Golf Tournament

Republic senior Griffin Frey shot a final-round 80 to finish with a two-day total of 165 at the Class 5 state golf tournament at Dalhousie Golf Club in Cape Girardeau. Frey opened the tournament with an 85. His two-day score tied him for 54th in the 83-golfer field. Frey finishes his high school career with two state appearances, despite losing his sophomore season to the COVID-related cancellations in the spring of 2020.
