Gunlock earns Board Member Award of Excellence

Tyler Gunlock, founding president of the Ash Grove Area Community Foundation, received a Board Member Award of Excellence from the Community Foundation of the Ozarks.
Gunlock was one of five board leaders within the CFO’s network of regional affiliate foundations honored during a virtual affiliate meeting on May 13. Typically announced at an annual conference in the fall, the awards were postponed due to the pandemic.
Gunlock was instrumental in establishing the AGACF as the CFO’s 50th regional affiliate foundation, leading a wave of new communities starting affiliate foundations in the past year. He is credited with helping the AGACF secure a $10,000 Coover Regional Recovery Grant that was recently redistributed to agencies serving Ash Grove.
“Great leaders make our affiliate foundations more successful, which in turn make the communities they serve so much stronger,” CFO President Brian Fogle said. “With such a deep dedication to their community, they know how philanthropic resources can be best used to
improve the lives of their neighbors.”
The Ash Grove Area Community Foundation, founded in 2020, is one of the CFO’s 53 regional affiliate foundations. The CFO is a regional public charitable foundation established in 1973 that provides asset and resource development, grantmaking and public leadership across central and southern Missouri.
