Helen Louise Cron

Helen Louise Cron, 72, of Springfield, passed away Oct. 30, 2018, at Mercy Hospital.
She was born Oct. 9, 1946, in Springfield to Roy and Ruby (McKee) Wise.
Cron was a homemaker. She loved to play Bingo, go camping, spend time with her family and go to yard sales.
She is survived by: her significant other, Harvey Long of 33 years; three step-children, Lana (Bill) Brown of Humansville; Russell Long of South Bend, Ind., and Dawn Pope of Elkhart, Ind.; brother, Roy Lee of Miller; sister, Opal Copel and significant other George Thompson of Mt. Vernon; nine grandchildren;11 step- grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and a host of friends and family. She was preceded in death by: her parents; brothers, Elmer and Danny Wise; sister, Nancy Lutz; two sons, Jerry Wise and James Cron.
Services were held at the Birch Funeral Chapel Nov. 6, 2018, at 1 p.m. Burial followed in Antioch Cemetery in Springfield under the direction of Birch funeral home in Ash Grove.
