John David Moore

John David Moore, 58, of Walnut Grove, passed away after a fight with lung cancer on Jan. 28, 2022.
Moore was born Feb. 21, 1963 in Smithville, to Billy and Judy Moore. He was united in marriage to his wife Teresa on June 18, 1983 and was happily married for 38 years. To this union three children were born.
Moore worked for Overnite/UPS Freight and retired after 32 years of service. He served as a volunteer firefighter for both Holt Community Fire District and Willard Fire Protection District and later served as a board member of Willard Fire.
Moore is survived by his wife of 38 years, Teresa Moore; daughter Alesia and husband Anthony Coffman; daughter Lindsey and husband Jarod Rowley, son Josh Moore of Willard; and six grandchildren; mother Judy Moore; brothers Timmy Moore and Robby Moore, all of Holt, and other family.
Moore was preceded in death by his father Billy Moore, maternal and paternal grandparents, mother-in-law Ruby Gunn and many aunts and uncles.
Memorial services will be at 2 p.m, Saturday, Feb. 26, 2022, at Clear Creek Baptist Church, Willard.
