Kodiak Smith Mitchell

Kodiak Smith Mitchell, 19, passed away unexpectedly on Dec. 26, 2021.
Mitchell was born Sept. 11, 2002 in Springfield and lived his life between Republic and Halltown/Bois D’Arc. He graduated from Miller High School and was very proud of being a part of JROTC.

Mitchell was a cherished son, brother, grandson, nephew, and friend, who has left us far too soon.

He is survived by his mother Misty Mitchell and father Kurtis Mitchell; sister Aspen Mitchell; step-mother Melinda Mitchell; step-siblings Kelsey Cobb, Tyler Cobb, Eldon Derringer, and Canyon Derringer; maternal grandparents Gail and Curtis Scott; paternal grandparents Tony Mitchell and Juanita Mitchell.

Visitation was at 1 p.m. Friday, Dec. 31, 2021, with the memorial service following at 2 p.m. at Meadors Funeral Home, 314 N Main St, Republic.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Meadors Funeral Home to assist with funeral expenses.
