Republic won two games and lost once last week, routing Branson 5-1 on the road Monday before defeating Carthage 5-0 Tuesday and falling to Willard 1-0 Thursday on Senior Night.
The loss to Willard ended Republic's hopes for an outright Central Ozark Conference West title. Kallie Reiber scored the game's only goal early in the second half after Willard broke through up the left side. Republic finished with eight shots on goal to Willard's four but could not get the ball past Willard goalkeeper Harper Floyd.
Andie Wistrom and Paige Elsenraat each scored two goals, while Ava Woolley added another precision strike in the 5-0 victory against Carthage. It was Republic's first win at Carthage since 2017.
Elsenraat scored first, just seven and a half minutes into the match. Woolley made it 2-0 with 11 minutes left in the first half, delivering a pinpoint free kick from 25 yards after a feint by Macey Mitchell. Wistrom scored twice in the second half, including a header off a corner kick from Maddie Randall.
Republic had beaten Branson 5-1 Monday to end a two-game losing skid. Christiane Ulsund put the Lady Tigers ahead 12 minutes into the match with a 25-yard shot, and Mitchell broke a 1-1 tie with 16 minutes left in the first half. Wistrom and Woolley added second-half goals.
Republic fell to 14-9 overall after the loss to Willard.
