Lloyd Chessmore

Lloyd Chessmore, 75, of Ash Grove passed away Dec. 3, 2020 in Lawrence County Manor, Mt. Vernon. He was born Oct. 19, 1945 in Leedy, Okla., to William and Vida Norris Chessmore. During his early life, he worked as a ranch hand and oil field worker in several states. In the late 1970’s he came to the Ash Grove and Bois D’Arc communities working for Warren Richter and later for Dave Richter at the Phenix Quarry, as a heavy truck driver. He is survived by his sister Lou Shuman, Buffalo, Okla.; cousins Lois Eller, of Woodward, Okla., and Jani Norris of California; three grand-nieces and eight great-grand nieces.Services and interment will be at a later date in Leedy, Okla. Cremation was under the direction of Birch Funeral Home, Ash Grove.
