Lolita Giddens

Lolita Giddens, 90, of Billings, passed away peace- fully in her home, on Tuesday, July 23, 2019. She was born Oct. 29, 1928, in Santa Clara, Calif., the
daughter of Everett Edison and Min- nie Clarice (Simpson) Freshour. She grew up in various areas of California and Washington.
She met her husband, Bobby Gid- dens at a church function. They mar- ried on Feb. 24, 1951, and had three boys, Michael, Ronald, and Edwin.
They raised their boys in California until moving to Illinois in 1962. Later the family moved to Elkland, in 1969, where she helped run the farm and bred show quality dogs.
She was preceded in death by a son, Edwin; her parents; a brother, John; and sisters, Mary Ellen, and Eloise.
Giddens is survived by her husband of 68 years, Bobby; her sons, Michael and Ronald and their wives; six grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren.
A private burial was held in the Hart Cemetery, Rogers, Ark., under the direction of Meadors Funeral Home, Republic. A Celebration of Life was held from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, July 27, 2019, in Hood’s Truck Stop, 1651 State Highway K, Bois D’Arc, Mis- souri, 65612.
