Margie L. Patton

Margie L. Patton, 93, of Springfield, passed away Saturday, Jan. 1, 2022. She was born on May 3, 1928, to Cyril and Ida (Emory) Hill in Omaha, Neb.

Patton was united in marriage to Leonard Junior Patton on Oct. 13, 1948, and they had one daughter, Karen.

Patton was a longtime participant with Cox HealthAuxiliary at Cox South Medical Center; she was a valued member of their volunteer staff for nearly 25 years.

Patton is preceded in death by her parents, and her loving husband of 53 years, Leonard, who passed away in 2002.

Funeral services were at 1 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 6, 2022, with Reverend Gary Longstaff officiating. Burial will be private. She will be laid to rest beside her husband Leonard in Manley Cemetery.
