Metzger wins two events at Ozarks Invitational

Republic’s Karissa Metzger won both her individual events at the Ozarks Invitational swim meet in Springfield, Saturday. Metzger was seeded second in the 200-yard individual medley, but she cut nearly a second and a half off her previous season best. She won with a time of 2:18.62, finishing more than two seconds ahead of her closest competitor.
In the 100-yard breaststroke, Metzger was the top seed and made it hold up. She finished in 1:10.30, improving her season best by 1.85 seconds.
