Michael L. McMain

Michael L. McMain, 74, of Willard, passed away Monday, Dec. 13, 2021. He was born Nov. 5, 1947, in Willows, Calif. to Leonard Delmar and Alma Jane (Hatley) McMain. On June 17, 1972, Michael and Rosalee Pickering were united in marriage and shared almost 50 years together.
McMain served in the United States Navy for six years. In 1983, he became an ordained minister with the Assembly of God. Most recently he started the Chariton Valley Cowboy Church in Kirksville, where he was the minister for 10 years.
McMain is survived by his wife, Rosalee McMain; sons Michael C. McMain and wife Jessica, Scott McMain and wife Ingrid, Troy McMain and wife Stephanie; eight grandchildren; siblings, Leroy McMain, Jerry McMain, Stanley McMain, David McMain, Melanie Walker; other family and friends.
McMain is preceded in death by his parents, Leonard and Alma McMain and father- and mother-in-law, Homer and Rosie Pickering.  

Kirksville memorial service was at 2 p.m., Sunday, Jan. 2, 2022, at Chariton Valley Cowboy Church.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until service time, Friday, Jan. 14, 2022, at Central Assembly of God, 1301 N. Boonville Ave., Springfield. Funeral services will begin at noon at the church. Burial will be at 2 p.m., Friday, Jan. 14, 2022, at Missouri Veterans Cemetery, Springfield.
