Mina M. Blades

Mina M. Blades of Springfield, Missouri, passed away peacefully on November 16, 2021, at the age of 86.  Born on August 28, 1935, in Springfield, Missouri, to Leroy and Josephine (Russell) White.  Mina was the only girl in a home of 4 children.
 She graduated from Ash Grove Highschool, and married Bob Blades in 1955.  They shared 59 years before his passing in 2015. This union was blessed with 2 sons, Mike, and Rick.  She worked for Gospel Publishing House, making props for plays they were having, as well as hostess at Ben Brown’s Country Club in Laguna Beach, California.
Mina was a very classy lady, she loved to entertain, and traveling.  Europe and Hawaii were the highlight of her life.  She was an amazing cook, great mother, loved her family, and being a prayer warier.
She is preceded in death by her husband, son Michael, 2 brothers, Bob, and Lester, 2 sisters in laws, Ruby, and Deloris.
She is survived by her son Rick Blades, grandchildren, Joseph Friend, Samuel Friend, Joshua Friend, Matthew Blades, Steven Blades, and Stacey Blades, great grandchildren, Skylar, Gavin, Ethan, Billy, and Bailey, 1 great-great granddaughter,  brother Jerry White and wife Wanda, nieces, nephews and other extended family and friends.
