Nancy Goodwyn

Nancy Goodwyn, 72, of Willard passed away peacefully on Monday, March 21, 2022, after a long journey with Alzheimer’s. She was born Sept. 18, 1949, in Omaha, Neb., to John and Ellen (Christensen) Wray. On Feb. 5, 1972, Nancy and Bob Goodwyn were united in marriage. They shared over 47 years together, growing in love for one another until Bob’s passing in 2019.
Goodwyn was a homemaker in every possible way. She was committed to taking care of her family.
Goodwyn is survived by daughter, Sherri Goodwyn of Minnesota; son, Justin Goodwyn and wife Jill of Willard; son, Grady Goodwyn and wife Kelley of Willard; daughter, Wendy Beard and husband Scott of New Mexico; son, Tyler Goodwyn and wife Anna of Willard; 20 grandchildren; siblings Joan, Tom, Peggy, Mike; other family and many friends.

Goodwyn was preceded in death by her parents; husband Bob; sisters, Gloria and Mary.
Graveside services were at 2:30 p.m. Friday, March 25, 2022, at Clear Creek Cemetery, Springfield. The family greeted friends and shared memories at Clear Creek Baptist Church Fellowship Hall from 3-5 p.m. after the graveside.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made in Goodwyn’s name to The Alzheimer’s Association, Greater Missouri Chapter and may be left or mailed to the funeral home, PO BOX 217, Ash Grove, MO 65604. Arrangements under the direction of Wilson-Griffin Funeral Home, Ash Grove.
