Nicholas Lane Cashio

Nicholas Lane Cashio was born May 7, 1994 and passed away Tuesday Sept. 22, 2020. He is survived by his mother and father, Ginger and Scott Cashio; his siblings: Hope Shock, Halee Cashio, Maxwell Cashio and Sydnee Cashio; his brother-in-law Britt Shock and nephew Henry; his grandparents: Patricia and Jim Killingsworth and Charlotte and Russell Dawson, as well as several aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. Cashio is preceded in death by his great-grandparents Lyle and Eulalia Beasley and Hazel Cox, his grandfather Sam Cashio Sr., his cousin Todd Cashio and his nephew Franklin Shock. Cashio lived a huge life in his short 26 years. He held school records in track and field, as well as being a champion power lifter. He threw discus, shot put,and hammer throw at William Jewel University before transferring to Pittsburg State in Kansas. Cashio gave his life to the Lord at a young age and rededicated himself at the age of 20. While he was busy making everyone smile, he also battled drug addiction. His substance abuse is what ultimately took his young life. Visitation was from 5-8 p.m., Tuesday, Sept. 29, 2020 at Wilson-Griffin Funeral Home, Ash Grove. Funeral services will begin at 2 p.m., Wednesday, Sept. 30, 2020 at Wilson-Griffin Funeral Home, Ash Grove with burial to follow in Ash Grove Cemetery, Ash Grove.
