Patsy Ann Whitney

Patsy Ann Whitney, 77, of Aurora, passed away at 4:45 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 2, 2019, at the Sonshine Manor Nursing Home in Republic. She was born Nov. 4, 1942, in Quail Spur, the daughter of Truman Lavern and Jewell Loraine (Hilton) Ragain.
Whitney was a homemaker and a member of the Aurora Baptist Temple Church.
On Feb. 1, 1958, she married James Richard Whitney, in Spring- field. He preceded her in death on June 16, 1995.
Whitney is survived by her daugh- ter, Donna Cox and her husband, Douglas, of Aurora; one son, Daniel Whitney and his wife, Megan, of San Jose, Calif.; five grandchildren; two brothers, Lavern Ragain and his wife, Janice, of Chickasha, Okla., and Pete Ragain and his wife, Deb- bie, of Laurie; one brother-in-law, Darrell Whitney of Potosi; one sister-in-law, JoAnn Jones of Aurora and several nieces and nephews.
Whitney was preceded in death by her parents, Tru- man and Jewel and her husband, Richard.
A funeral service was at 3 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 6, 2019, at the Crafton-Cantrell Funeral Home in Aurora. Burial followed at the Maple Park Cemetery in Aurora. Visitation was from 6-8 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 5, 2019, in the funeral home chapel.
