Republic soccer falls to Chiefs, closes regular season

Republic finished its regular season with a 4-2 loss to Kickapoo on a cold, rainy night. The Chiefs grabbed a 2-0 lead and controlled most of the first half. Republic scored first in the 25th minute on a breakaway by Jabali Wanekya, but Kickapoo scored just two minutes later to make it 3-1. Republic got back in the game with a Jackson McGuire goal in the second half, but again, Kickapoo answered less than two minutes later, making the score 4-2, where it ended.
