Republic softball team returns to win column at Carthage

Republic scored quickly to establish the tone at Carthage in an 8-1 win on the road. The win helped the Lady Tigers rebound from a 9-1 non-conference loss at Reeds Spring earlier in
the week. In the first inning, Republic capitalized on two hit batters, an error, and a walk to score three runs. The Lady Tigers scored two more in the next inning to
take an early 5-0 lead. A.J. Fenske hit her fourth home run of the year. Avery Romans picked up the win, allowing just one run on nine hits and striking out six Carthage batters. Kaitlyn
Ragsdale was 3-for-3 with two runs scored.
Republic improved to 9-4 overall.
