Republic tennis comes back to beat Carthage

Republic won the last four matches of the day to beat Carthage in a COC battle at home. After Republic won two of three doubles matches, Carthage won the first two completed singles matches to take a 3-2 lead. But Republic reeled off four straight wins, starting with an 8-2 victory for Cooper Davis. Chase Elder won in a tiebreaker to make the overall score 4-3, and Markus Mitchell won his singles match to clinch the team win before Bryce Martin finished the night with another Republic win.
Earlier in the week, Republic had dropped an 8-1 decision to Branson. The Tigers are 5-3 overall and 3-1 in the COC.
