Rountree’s record performance leads Republic track at Nixa Invitational

Hurdler breaks 35-year-old school record in 300m; also wins 110m contest
Miller Rountree broke a 35-year-old school record in the 300m hurdles to highlight Republic’s performance at the Nixa Invitational. Rountree’s time of 40.59 seconds beat the old mark of 40.67 set by Kyle Evans in 1987. Rountree also won the 110m hurdles at Nixa.
Republic’s boys finished second overall, and the girls finished third.
Ethan Haynes won both the 1600m and 3200m runs. Chase Buford won the 100m dash. Joshua Silver finished first in the triple jump. Cooper Douglas won the javelin. Drew Buchanan finished second to Rountree in the 300m hurdles. Landen Finley was second in the 400m dash. Kendell Curbow finished third in the pole vault. Devon McMillin was third in the 800m run.
In the girls 3200m run, freshman Gracie Troester and senior Miha Nambara finished 1-2. Alaina Norman finished first in the javelin. Kristin Probst was second in the 400m dash. Troester also medaled in the 1600m run, finishing third.
The Lady Tigers’ 4x800m relay team finished first and the 4x400m relay team finished second.
The Tigers’ 4x400 team finished first. The 4x100 and 4x400 teams finished second.
