Runner Nambara wins another medal at COC cross country meet

Miha Nambara continued her streak of medaling at every cross country meet this year, finishing fifth at the Central Ozark Conference championships in Nisa Tuesday. Nambara finished in 20:22.40.
Aaliyah Vasquez was Republic’s next-best runner, finishing in just over 23 minutes to place 39th. Jasmyn Douglas, Miku Nambara, and Alexis Collins-Irvin also competed for Republic, which
finished eighth out of 10 schools.
Sophomore Ethan Haynes was the top finisher for the Republic boys, with a time of 18:42.50. That was good for 46th place. Jack Coursey, Braden Lester, Dominick Famiano, Jackson Haralson, Collin Chastain, and Jacob Haralson also competed for Republic.
The cross country team competes at districts Saturday.
