RUTH EVELYN STAAS ROSS

Ruth Evelyn Staas Ross, 93, of Aldrich passed away on Sunday, Dec. 25, 2022. She was born in Wishart, on Sept. 28, 1929, to James G. and Frances (Cunningham) Staas. On May 21, 1948, Ruth and Clyde E. Ross were united in marriage and shared over 52 years together before Clyde’s passing in 2000.    
Ross was a lifelong resident of the Morrisville/Aldrich area. She was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great-great grandmother. She accepted Christ as a young girl and was a member of Eudora Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School for several years.  
Ross is survived by her children, Tom Ross and wife Kathy, Phyllis Hall, Cheryl Gomes and husband Louis; four grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; nine great-great-grandchildren and one on the way; sisters; “Sue” Dorothy Anderson, Deborah Militscher and husband Bob; a host of nieces, nephews, other family and many friends.
Ross was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde Ross; her parents; siblings, Mary Fisher, Virginia Patterson, Betty Staas, Linda Smock, Judith Ankrom, “Jean” Annabel Hill, William J. Staas and James Lee Roy Staas.
Visitation will be at 1 p.m. until service time, Wednesday, Jan. 4, 2023, at Eudora Baptist Church. Funeral services will begin at 2 p.m., at the church, with burial to follow at Morrisville Cemetery, Morrisville.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be left in Ross’ name to an organization of the donor’s choice.
