Tennis team sweeps conference foes

Republic opened its conference tennis season with two sweeps on the road. The Tigers first beat Neosho 9-0, winning 72 of the 81 games played. Three singles players – Braden Snyder at #1, Chase Elder at #3, and Bryce Martin at #6 – won their matches 8-0. It was the tenth straight boys tennis win for Republic against Neosho.
The Tigers picked up another COC win against Carl Junction Thursday, also by a 9-0 score.
Curtis Fair won his singles match 8-0, and so did Cooper Davis, playing varsity singles for the first time. Bryce Martin and Jonathan Cole won their doubles match 8-0, as well. It was Cole’s first varsity doubles match.
