Teresa Sue Merritt

Teresa Sue “Susie” Merritt, 71, passed away peacefully on Oct. 21, 2025, with her loving family by her side. She was born in Springfield, on July 27, 1954, to Jimmy and Wanda (Kyle) Merritt and was one of three children in the home.
She attended Republic schools. She was blessed with two children, Stephene and Joseph. She worked as a seamstress at the local garment factory. She attended Northwest Baptist Church in Springfield and loved the Lord. She enjoyed watching television, spending time with her family and her pets.
She is preceded in death by her parents and a brother, David Merritt.
Susie is survived by her children, Stephene Kleiber and Joseph (Erica) Kleiber, numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, as well as a brother Brad Shoemaker and other extended family and countless friends.
