Wayne King

Wayne King, born in Boaz, passed away Oct. 23, 2020 at the age of 79. King
was a longtime resident of Republic, and leaves behind his wife Cookie King,
a daughter Robyn Cooper, a son Doug King, four grandchildren, and two
great grandchildren.
King had a strong work ethic and often worked long hours to provide for his
family. He had his own business building homes, then later King Service
Company in Republic. He started his third career working as the maintenance
manager at Aramark, at the age of 60 and continued working until age 75.
King was preceded in death by his parents, Clinton and Lois (Meritt) King,
three brothers, Robert, Gary, and Roy King, three sisters, Connie Vaughn,
Nelda Salkil, and Dorothy King.
Visitation was Friday, Oct. 30, 2020 at 10 a.m., followed by the service at 11
a.m. at Meadors Funeral Home in Republic. Burial took place at Frazier
Cemetery in Boaz.
