William C. Moseley

William C. Moseley, 85, of Billings, passed away Dec. 2, 2020 after a lengthy
illness, with his loving family by his side.
He was born on April 6, 1935 in Statesboro, Ga., the son of the late William
Lafette Moseley and Frances Elizabeth (Williamson) Moseley. He graduated
from high school in May of 1953 in Soperton, Ga. He then completed junior
college at Brewton-Parker College in Mt. Vernon, Ga., receiving his
associate’s degree. He served in the US Army from 1957-1963.
On June 7, 1959 he was united in marriage to Sharon R. Cusick in
Waynesville. Prior to this, he worked for a period of time with the F.B.I. in
Washington, D.C.
He returned to Macon, Ga., graduating from Mercer University, with a
Bachelor of Science in 1960. He was licensed by the First Baptist Church in
Washington, D.C. and ordained to the Gospel Ministry by the First Baptist
Church in Soperton, Ga. in March 1960.
While serving in the Gospel Ministry, he pastored churches in both Georgia
and Missouri as a bi-vocational minister. He also worked for the State of
Missouri Division of Family Services in Barry County as a director until his
retirement in 1997. He served 33 years with Family Services and over 50
years in the ministry.
He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church, Republic, and attended “The
Bread of Life Ministry” in Clever, for as long as his health permitted. He
previously volunteered with The American Red Cross, Greater Ozarks
Chapter, Springfield. He was the past President of the Salvation Army in
Cassville, as well as past President of the Richland Ministerial Alliance in
Richland.
He is preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and five sisters.
Survivors include his loving wife of 61 years, Sharon, children; Cynthia
Herron and husband Steven, and Wendi Carroll and husband Jeffrey, five
grandchildren, one great-grandson; as well as nieces, nephews and other
extended family and friends.
