McPhail named to top 35 under 35

Josey McPhail, Director of Communications for the Republic School District, is being recognized by the National School Public Relations Association (NSPRA) as one of their "35 under 35" school communication professionals.
According to a posting on the district's Facebook page, "those chosen for this list are considered 'emerging leaders who are making a difference in school public relations.'"
The posting also stated McPhail and the others chosen for the honor will be featured in an upcoming NSPRA communication and be honored at a seminar in Washington D.C. in July. At the Republic School Board's meeting on Thursday, Oct. 18. Republic Superintendent of Schools Chance Wistrom commended McPhail as someone who not only works to serve the district, but other school districts as well. "She has really become one of the mentors to other school districts on the importance of creating a communication program and being very strategic from the district level all the way down to (implementation) at the teachers’ level," Wistrom said.
