Highway 160 rights-of-way annexation may be coming; likely decided at next board meeting

A public hearing was held Tuesday, Feb. 18, at Ash Grove City Hall regarding the annexation of rights-of-way heading east out of Ash Grove along Highway 160, to the east side of Lyndall Hall’s property. Only four residents were in attendance for the hearing, and none vocally opposed the proposed action, reported one city official. The annexation comes on the heels of the annexation of property purchased by Ash Grove First Baptist Church, for a future home on Highway 160. The official annexation—for rights-of-way only—will likely be voted on at the March 2 Ash Grove Board of Aldermen meeting.
