Powerful send-off

Retired Ash Grove educator David Tummons laid to rest with tractor convoy
 
A long line of tractors make for an impressive funeral procession for Bois D’Arc’s David Tummons, Saturday morning. Tummons, who had been employed since 1971 with the Ash Grove School District, drew quite a send-off of local farmers, community members and Ash Grove FFA members. The first tractor in the run was owned by Tummons and was driven Saturday by his grandson Sam Tummons. A crowd of more than 100 people attended the funeral as Tummons was laid to rest at Yeakley Cemetery, Highway 266.
