Priebe Strong gets warm reception despite cold

 The Republic Community Action Team hosted the Priebe Strong 1062 event at the Republic Aquatic Center on Saturday, Oct. 24. The event, a fundraiser for both the Priebe family and the Special Olympics, featured a 5K run, a 10K and a half marathon. About 430 people braved the chilly weather to take part in the inaugural affair. The event also featured an appearance by Officer Mark Priebe and Gov. Mike Parson, who helped to kick off the event, food trucks, vendor booths, bounce houses and live music performed by Christian artist Rhett Walker.
