David Wayne Johnson

David Wayne Johnson, 66, of Ash Grove passed away April 13, 2021 at Mercy Hospital in Joplin.
He was born May 31, 1954 in Springfield to Harold and Ruth (Chilcult) Johnson.
Johnson was called to preach in 1972, serving several churches, 15 years at the Fundamental Methodist Church in Sarcoxie, drove a truck for Meek’s Lumber Company, worked at the dock at Missouri State University book store and was a member of Johns Chapel Fundamental Methodist Church, Ash Grove.
On Oct. 10, 1975, he was united in marriage to Linda Ferguson. They were married 45 years.
He is survived by his wife; son Michael of Galena; daughters Malissa Arganbright of McKinney, Texas and Megan Johnson of Carterville; sisters, Pamela Dillard of Republic and Phyllis Johnson of Stockton; 13 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, mother and one great-granddaughter.
Funeral services were held April 17, 2021 in the Johns Chapel Fundamental Methodist Church, under the direction of Birch Funeral Home, Ash Grove.
