Russell B. Long

Russell B. Long, 39, of Walnut Grove passed away. He was born Jan. 17, 1982 in Springfield, to Gregory and Rebecca “Reba” (Whitehead) Long.
Long loved to be outdoors. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and even his career of being a logger allowed him to spend his time outdoors. He loved looking for things in nature that resembled other things. He also loved animals, especially his 17- year-old dog, Boots. Long adored his nieces and nephews and being the “fun uncle.”
Long is survived by his parents, Gregory and Reba Long; brother David Long and wife Melissa; sister, Kasandra Niemeier and husband Joey; five nieces; three nephews; cousins, other family, many friends, and coworkers.
Long is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Roy and Ina Whitehead and paternal grandparents, Harold and Eula Long.
Visitation was from 5-7 p.m., Tuesday, June 15, 2021 at Wilson-Griffin Funeral Home, Ash Grove. Graveside services will be at 3 p.m., Wednesday, June 16, 2021 at Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Willard.
