Ronald DeWayne Willis

Ronald DeWayne Willis of Republic, passed away at home on June 9, 2021. Willis was born Oct. 14, 1960, in Springfield. He was the eldest of four children in the home.
Willis graduated from Willard High School. He married Shari Carmon on June 23, 1989. DeWayne and Shari traveled around the country, from 1991-2001, taking part in Civil War reenactments. He participated as a “Union Infantry Soldier” in these reenactments.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
Willis is survived by his loving wife of 32 years, Shari, sisters, Vickie, Sher-Rí and Lora, as well as nieces, nephews and other extended family and friends.
An open visitation to celebrate Willis’ life was from 1-3 p.m. Saturday, June 12, 2021, at Meadors Funeral Home in Republic.
