Janey Donaldson

Janey Donaldson, 79, of Republic, passed away Friday, Aug. 6, 2021. She was born on March 12, 1942, in Lawry, Ark. to Liss and Jessie (Taylor) Coker. She was one of several children in the home.
Donaldson graduated from Republic High School and then went on the attend MSU, receiving her bachelor’s degree in teaching. She taught fourth grade, as a substitute, for the Republic Public Schools for many years. She also worked in the gift shop at Cox Medical Center until her retirement.
Donaldson married Richard Donaldson on June 16, 1960, with whom she had three children, Todd, Sherri and Angela. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church, and a dedicated follower of Christ.
She is preceded in death by her parents.
Left to mourn her passing are her loving husband of 61 years, Richard, children; Todd Donaldson, Sherri Crane and husband Cary and Angela Brakebill and husband Sam, seven grandchildren, several great-grandchildren as well as a host of nieces, nephews and other extended family and friends.
A visitation was from 12-1 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 17, 2021, at Meadors Funeral Home in Republic, funeral services followed at 1 p.m., under the direction of Pastor Denny Marr, with burial at Evergreen Cemetery.
