Norma Jean Gavisk

Norma Jean Gavisk, 85, of Springfield, passed away Saturday, Sept. 11, 2021. She was born Wednesday, June 17, 1936 in Bois D'Arc, to Clell and Jessie Walker.
Norma and William Lee Gavisk were united in marriage on Nov. 5, 1956 and to this union four sons were born. They shared nearly 45 years together until his passing in 2000. She was a lifelong resident of the Bois D'Arc/Springfield area. She was most recently a member of the Crossway Baptist Church.
Gavisk was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, an infant son Joseph, one sister Delores and one nephew Joseph Wayne.
She is survived by her three sons, Bryan Gavisk (wife Teresa) of Springfield; Boyd Gavisk (wife Chris) of Pleasant Hope; and Brad Gavisk (wife Angela) of Walnut Grove; nine grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
A visitation was from 12-2 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 15, 2021 at the Klingner-Cope Family Funeral Home at White Chapel, with funeral services following at 2 p.m. Burial took place at the Clear Creek Cemetery. Online condolences may be made at www.klingnerfuneralhome.com.
