Larry Ray Allen

Larry Ray Allen, 62, of Republic passed away at 3:54 a.m. on Sunday, Oct. 31, 2021, at his home. He was born Oct. 12, 1959, in Tracy, Calif., the son of the late J.B. and Grace Ann (Alred) Allen.
Allen worked for Republic Services as a sanitation engineer.
On July 15, 2000, he married Dawn Michelle Stewart in Eureka Springs, Ark.
Allen is survived by his wife of 21 years, Dawn; four daughters, Honesty Lapierre and her husband, Joshua, of Tunas, Scarlett Allen of Republic, and Tracy Gosnell and Anna Martinez, both of Wichita, Kan.; two sons, Dustin Allen and Bradley Allen and his wife, Melanie, all of Springfield; five grandchildren, two sisters, Linda Beeson of Springfield, and Kathy Helms of Osceola; two brothers, Johnny Allen and his wife, Karen, of Miller, and Jerry Allen and his wife, Terry, of Mt. Vernon, and several nieces and nephews.
A visitation will be held from 12-2 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 4, 2021, at the Fossett-Mosher Funeral Home in Mt. Vernon. Burial will be held at Lee Cemetery, northeast of Verona. Online condolences may be shared at www.FossettMosherFuneralHome.com.
