GEORGE M. PECK

George M. Peck, 93, passed away on Thursday, Oct. 13, 2022 in Columbia, S.C. Peck and his wife Lou, who preceded him in death on Aug. 25, 2020, had previously resided in Republic for 50 years. He was born in Rogersville, and later enlisted in the United States Navy as a young man. He met his wife Sylvia Lou Nelson (Puyallup, Wash.), while she was serving in the United States Army, and they were married in 1966.
After 25 years of Naval Service, Peck returned to Missouri with his young family.  
He is survived by his son, daughter, and four granddaughters—son Michael T. and Mary Peck; daughter Sheila A. (Peck) and Shane Jones; and four granddaughters.
Peck is also survived by his brother O’Dell Peck and wife Norma Lee (Pittman) of Republic, and other family.  Peck will be laid to rest beside his beloved wife Lou with military honors at the West Finley Cemetery—Fordland.
