DANNY KEITH DECKER

Danny Keith Decker passed away Feb. 22, 2023, at Cox South Hospital after a short illness. Decker was the son of Amon and Reva Decker from Thayer.
Decker hired on in 1973 with Frisco, which later became Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railroad as a brakeman, conductor and finished his career as a locomotive engineer.
Danny and Brenda Willoughby Decker were united in marriage on March 14, 1975. To this union two daughters were born, Katrina Viau and Katrisha Simmons. Six grandchildren were his joy.
Decker is survived by his wife, Brenda; daughters, Katrina and husband Mike Viau of Florida and Katrisha and husband Carroll Simmons of Walnut Grove; and sister, Norma Johnson.
Decker was preceded in death by his parents; brother Glen Dale Allen; sister Marcia Brown; and niece and nephew, Pam and Dale Johnson.
Visitation was from 5-7 p.m., Sunday, Feb. 26, 2023 at Wilson-Griffin Funeral Home, Walnut Grove. Private graveside services were at Greene Lawn Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Carpenter’s House Church and may be left at the funeral home.
