Republic man charged with 10 sex crimes, 9 felonies

A man from Republic is currently facing 10 separate charges of sex crimes beginning in the year 2018. Andrew Jones is described in a multiple-page police report as engaging in multiple sex crimes with charges indicating that victims were children, though ages in the report have been redacted. 
 
The probable cause statement lists the testimony of four victims, each of whom recount a similar story. 
 
Jones is described in the statement as providing multiple minors with alcohol and marijuana with the report also stating that Jones would show victims pornography. 
 
Jones is also described in the report as waiting until victims were asleep and then assaulting them. The report states that Jones has shown a pattern over the past seven years of using various drugs, alcohol and manipulation to sexually assault young girls. Four victims were interviewed as part of the police investigation.
 
According to documents, despite being reported for his behavior earlier, Jones continued to assault victims. 
 
Jones faces the following charges: 
 
- Attempted Child Molestation
- Statutory Sodomy or Attempted Statutory Sodomy – Deviant Sexual Intercourse – Person Less Than 14 Yoa
- Sodomy or Attempted Sodomy – First Degree
- Furnish Pornographic Material or Attempt to Furnish to a Minor
- Child Molestation – Fourth Degree – Child Less Than 17 Yoa and Offender Greater Than 4 Years Older
- Sexual Abuse – First Degree
- Attempted Statutory Sodomy – Second Degree
- Statutory Sodomy – Second Degree
- Child Molestation – First Degree
- Statutory Sodomy/Attempt-Deviate Sexual Intercourse With A Person Less Than 14 Yrs Old-Aggravated Sexual Offense.
 
Jones was set to appear in court on May 5 for a bond hearing.  He is currently being held in the Greene County Jail.
