Kenneth Eugene Edgington

Kenneth Eugene Edgington, 79,  resident of the Springfield and Willard communities, passed away Friday, Sept. 11, 2026, at Cox South Hospital.
He was born May 17, 1947, in rural Dadeville, to Roscoe and Marjorie Edgington. He enjoyed a robust country life with his sisters, Faye, Gayle, and Betty, including the time he accidentally ran over the outhouse with a tractor. 
After graduating from Ash Grove High School in 1966, he took a job at the Lily-Tulip Cup factory, where he met his future wife, Donna Sue Peacock. They were married March 1, 1968. He later became an independent contractor carpet layer for forty years.
He is survived by his wife, Donna Edgington of Willard; a daughter, Keely Edgington, and son-in-law, Beau Williams; and two spirited granddaughters of Charleston, S. C. He is also survived by a half-sister, Patsy Russell of Clever.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Joy Lynn Edgington; his sisters Betty Beasley, Faye Page, and Gayle Edgington; his parents, Roscoe and Marjorie Edgington; his in-laws, John and Margaret Peacock; and his grandparents, Lonnie and Lula Grider, and Frank and Orah Edgington.
A graveside service was held at White Chapel Memorial Gardens on Wednesday, September 16, and officiated by Pastor Bob Sharp. An informal visitation was held the previous evening, Tuesday, Sept. 15, from 5-7 p.m. at Klinger-Cope Funeral Home at White Chapel Memorial Gardens.
