The new Halltown Dollar General store is making tall strides in short order. The building, which sits on the south side of Highway 266 in Halltown, now has four walls and a roof, as well as the usual Dollar General facade.
Ash Grove Board of Aldermen head Troy Watts, presided over the board’s July 1 meeting in the stead of Mayor Les Gardner who was out of town. Watts led the board through a laundry list of appointments, an annual operation that usually goes smoothly.

The Republic Walmart has officially begun operations on a delivery service for their customers. The inauguration of the service was celebrated at a store event Thursday, June 27, with a cake, hundreds of cupcakes, inflatables and even a barbecue food truck.
