Six members of the Ash Grove Lady Pirates earned Academic All-State recognition for their work in the classroom. To earn the honor, the student-athletes must play in at least 75 percent of variety games, and have a 3.6 grade point average or higher.

The Ash Grove High School boys basketball team ended their regular season with back to back wins and the Lady Pirates won their opening round Class 2, District 11 game after dropping their final two regular season games.
Three Republic wrestlers have advanced to the state tournament in Columbia. Jonathan O’Connell turned in the best performance of the weekend at districts in Union, finishing with a district championship in the 138-pound weight class.
