Kathryn Louise (Kate) Edwards Shanks, 92, of Ash Grove, passed away on Jan. 3, 2020. She was born Feb. 2, 1927 in Hoopeston, Ill. to Harry and Edna (Johnson) Edwards. She was the last surviving sibling of two brothers and five sisters. In 1947 she married Robert Lee Shanks.
